About Coded Games
Coded Games in the one-man band of game design by Robert Cordingly. Robert has been making games with the GameMaker engine for over 15 years. For many years Coded Games has focused on creating high-quality games such as Static Overdrive and DRAW!! For the last 6 years development has been focused on Robert's most ambitious game Decks of Dexterity.
Decks of Dexterity
The Bullet Hell Card Game
DescriptionDecks of Dexterity fuses bullet hell shooter gameplay with a strategic turn based card game; your deck determines your power! Explore the Void to discover hundreds of cards, powerful treasures, unique characters, all contributes to building a powerful deck and defeating the corruption!
HistoryDecks of Dexterity was originally titled {Insert Game Title Here} (yes that is the real title) and was an entry into the GameMaker Community Jam #8. The original version was made for this 72-hour competition and ended up winning both Best Concept and 1st place overall in the game jam! With this newfound motivation, Decks of Dexterity continued development for the next 6 years. Midway through development, a demo for Dex was released on GX Games, a brand new game portal, enabling people to try the game in their browser. This demo proved to be very popular, amassing hundreds of thousands of plays and proved instrumental for building the strong community around the game.
ReleaseDecks of Dexterity first released on GX Games, and is currently in the process of releasing on Steam (Windows / MacOS / Linux). Mobile releases on iOS and Android are planned in the future. The game will cost $15 USD.

Selected Articles
- "Damn but I love how this game looks!!!! Stylish, dynamic and just plain "juicy"!"
- Mark Alexander, Twitter - "I have been playing this class a bit, and it twists my brain around in weird ways. It is an excellent addition to the game. I love how every class in this game requires a completely different mindset to play effectively."
- Cloaked Games, Twitter - "HOLY SHMAKLES! The Card feature of this is just GREAT, probaly the best game."
- Eceer, GMC Jam Review - "This took some thinking outside the box. The fusion between bullet hell and card mechanics are something that I don't think exists anywhere else, and it worked well."
- Ralucipe, GMC Jam Review - "Good game. I was only planning to play it for a few minutes and ended up playing for a while."
- Ziberteck, GMC Jam Review - "Nice idea, very different in concept to any other game in the jam (or anything else I've seen recently for that matter!) "
- GameDevDan, GMC Jam Review - "A very intriguing mixture of deck-building game and twin-stick bullet hell! I had my deck stocked up with synthesizes and fusions, for close-range brawling-- I felt powerful, but by no means invincible, as the bosses became faster and faster. The mechanics were supported by a simple but clean and effective aesthetic, and the pacing, unlike many entries in this jam, was on point."
- Dr. Wolf, GMC Jam Review - "Really cool concept, combining deck building with a bullet was smart and a lot of fun."
- Siolfor the Jackal, GMC Jam Review
